Social media summit, network: A list of Twitter resources

I’m still on a high from an amazing four days at the Health Care Social Media Summit and Social Media Health Network meeting at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., this week. I heard a number of fantastic speakers and connected with some great people, including many of the top experts in the world in health care social media. The event attracted more than 375 healthcare communicators from 38 states and four countries.

There were the usual PR/Marketing pros, as well as a number of doctors, nurses, patients and others from healthcare. We did some solid bonding and started some wonderful friendships. I look forward to keeping in touch with my new friends as we forge ahead in the years ahead. I feel honored to have met innovators and leaders such as e-Patient Dave deBronkart (pictured, right, with me), Lee Aase of the Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media and many others. They are leading the way as healthcare embraces social media as a way to improve healthcare.

In the weeks ahead, I’ll share highlights from this most-amazing gathering. To start things off, here’s a list of Twitter resources that you might find useful. Enjoy! By the way, I tweeted lots and lots of notes from @MikeBoehmer57. Check out the Oct. 17-20, 2011, stream.

    Mike –

    Great to meet. Helpful list to start us off!

    How about adding categories called healthcare instutitions and academic institutions since we’re tweeting personally and also on behalf of our employers.

    If you’re game, you can add
    @EinsteinMed under academic institutions (Albert Einstein College of Medicine)

    and me personally under PR/Marketing
    @PaulMoniz1 (Paul Moniz)

    Thanks a lot. Look forward to staying connected.
